Sega Luminasta Figures of 5 K-On Characters Start Appearing

Sega announced it will release Luminasta prize figures of the five main characters of the series K-On between August and September 2026. The first two are Azusa Nakano and Yui Hirasawa, and they’ll show up in Japan on August 28, 2026. The other three will appear on September 18, 2026. We should see the items show up worldwide like other merchandise on Sega’s Amazon storefront after the Japanese debut. This all comes ahead of the 20th anniversary of the manga’s debut in April 2027. 

As mentioned earlier, these releases are split into two batches. We’re first seeing the Light Music Club’s two guitarists Azusa and Yui. In the second batch in September 2026, bassist Mio Akiyama, drummer Ritsu Tainaka, and keyboardist Tsumugi Kotobuki will show up. This accounts for all members of Hokago Tea Time. To reference the band’s name, all characters are posed sitting in tea cups with tea splashing out of it. All the figures are between six and seven inches tall, with Ritsu being the shortest (~15cm) and Azusa tallest (~18cm) due to the poses. All of the items are static figures with no additional parts for extra posing options.

As a reminder, multiple games based on the K-On series appeared in Japan. K-On: Hokago Live appeared on both the PSP and PS3. There were also some arcade titles. These were rhythm games that featured songs from the anime.

The K-On Azusa and Yui Luminasta figures will launch in Japan on August 28, 2026, followed by Mio, Ritsu, and Tsumugi ones on September 18, 2026. The manga is handled by Yen Press. The anime is streaming on HIDIVE.
