Decades after its release, Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube still has a very active competitive scene, with regular major tournaments and even a custom-built emulator that enables smooth online play. Two of these top-level mainstays, Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma and Cody Schwab, were at the center of a strange snafu that happened in the grand finals of this weekend’s massive Florida-based tournament, CEO.
