Publishing principles for The Daily Game News. Last reviewed 14 August 2026.
The Daily Game News is a daily gaming news briefing. We collect publicly available headlines, excerpts, and media from studio and press RSS/Atom feeds, group overlapping coverage, and present each story with a stable permalink, the original headline, the author, and a link to the source.
We keep the publisher’s headline. We do not rewrite titles into generic clickbait. Proper nouns — game names, studios, platforms — stay as the source wrote them so the page matches the queries people are searching.
Feeds are checked continuously. When a developing story gains new coverage,
we keep the original permalink and refresh the page. Schema
datePublished is the first time we saw the item;
dateModified moves forward when later coverage arrives.
URLs do not change after a story goes live — the id tail of
/story/{date}-{title}--{id} is permanent.
If a headline, byline, image, or summary is wrong, email [email protected] with the story URL and what should change. We remove or correct aggregated entries when we are notified. Rights and takedown requests for the original article should go to the source first; we will drop our copy of the entry when asked.
Editorial selection is automated from open feeds, then clustered by story. Advertising (Google AdSense) funds the site and is labeled as advertising. Advertisers do not choose which stories appear. See ownership and funding and the privacy policy.
