For years, Konami was seemingly lost in the woods of the gaming industry. Following their acrimonious split with Metal Gear Solid creator and auteur Hideo Kojima, it seemed as though the legendary publisher and developer was just done with the video games business — seemingly content to make pachinko and slot machines. Not only have they seemingly reversed course, but, according to one executive in the company, it's just the start of an effort to reclaim their former glory days.
