Re-Ment Animal Crossing Happy Room Sets Are Delightful Dioramas
Now that Re-Ment is about to release its second run of Animal Crossing Happy Room character and furniture dioramas, I finally picked up two blind boxes from the first run. They’re simple sets, to be sure. But they are quite charming and detailed in spite of that and make for a pleasant enough display to put on a desk or a shelf.
I ended up buying two of the Animal Crossing Happy Room blind boxes. These are totally random set and, because of the way they are packed, there are no “tells” to hint at what you picked. This is because the items inside are separated and bundled in a way designed to protect some of the more delicate parts. So the two walls, floors, and optional upper wall piece are in their own bags, as are the character and furniture for their room. Because of the packing, everything arrived intact. This is especially crucial for the clear plastic stands included for each character, as those can consist of up to two parts that involve a base and stand that attaches to the back of the figure.

The dioramas are easy to assemble as well. The left and right walls snap onto the flooring base, with obvious details to indicate the interior and exterior sides. The optional brown siding is necessary if you are going to display a room alone or as a stack to ensure the sides remain flush with each other. However, if you do get more than one, it is possible to snap the tops of the walls of the unit below the upper room into the second (or third, or fourth…) floor unit to ensure stability. This doesn’t require much pressure, and I did find it was easy to pull apart two rooms attached to each other.
Once put together, you can see how simple the Re-Ment Animal Crossing Happy Room diorama sets are. Though, oddly enough, this seems to be something of a sliding scale. I ended up getting one set that is Marshal’s room and a second that is Timmy and Tommy’s Nook’s Cranny. The former is a little less impressive than the other, though does remain as adorable. You get a sitting Marshal figure (with clear base to ensure balance), a piano, and a matching piano bench. The scale means he can be placed on top of the bench and positioned to make it seem like he is at the instrument playing it. That is one large piece of furniture, which is fun. However, it does mean you are getting only three “parts.”

It essentially recreates the ambiance of the store. You get figures of both Timmy and Tommy, with stands that position them as though they are each balancing on one foot and welcoming a shopper. There is a blue display counter. You get a Mama Bear figure, from the Bear Set furniture line, a candle, and a bell bag for display purposes. It feels like it offers more arrangement opportunities. It’s also a set that’s more ideal for mixing-and-matching purposes, since all the furniture and figure items in this series can be interchanged. (Like I am fond of stealing the candle from that diorama and placing it on top of Marshal’s piano!)

That Timmy and Tommy Nook’s Cranny set in the Animal Crossing Happy Room diorama series also made me realize that I want Re-Ment to just… release more furniture or figures. Let me buy a little box of extra accessories to fill up the rooms I already own. The standard Re-Ment items from other blind box series aren’t the same scale. Granted, that is what’s happening with series two in November 2026. But I’ll admit feeling a bit guilty about snatching an item from one diorama to use with another, even when it is only moving about two inches vertically to a room directly above it.
While simple, the Re-Ment Animal Crossing Happy Room blind box character and furniture diorama sets are darling decorations. They’re easy to assemble. They look good displayed together, especially if you opt to stack them. The interchangeable element is also a plus, given some sets can feel a little more robust than others. (I didn’t expect the Nook’s Cranny one to feel so flush!) They’re a pleasant display, and I’m glad we’re going to see more of them.
The Re-Ment Animal Crossing Happy Room blind box character and furniture sets are available worldwide, and the second series will debut in Japan in November 2026. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is playable on the Switch and Switch 2.
