Onimusha: Way of the Sword Receives More Trailers

Capcom released new trailers ahead of Onimusha: Way of the Sword‘s release in a couple of weeks. In addition to a four-minute “The Legend of Onimusha” trailer — which gives an overview of the supernatural history of the Oni and the Genma, and the gauntlet-wielding Onimusha — the company began a series of “Curious Cases” videos that introduce some of the game’s major characters.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first new entry in the series in 20 years and is set to release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2026. Taking place in an alternate dark fantasy Japan where samurai battle against the supernatural, the game follows Miyamoto Musashi, who is armed with a mystical Oni Gauntlet and battles demons invading Edo-period Kyoto.
