A lot of terrific franchises we enjoy playing today got their start on much older hardware. Specifically, a number of them date back to the Super Nintendo, which launched in North America on Aug. 23, 1991. As we celebrate 35 years of memories, we thought it might be fun to look back on some of our favorite franchises that wouldn’t exist without that 16-bit hardware.
