STALKER 2 2.0 update and Cost of Hope DLC release countdown: Exact date and time

STALKER 2 is about to get its first major update in a long time as Update 2.0 and Cost of Hope DLC is coming to PC and consoles. As announced by GSC on Aug. 19, there will be plenty of new content to explore.

But first, let’s find out when the update goes live.

STALKER 2 2.0 update and Cost of Hope DLC release countdown

The update and the Cost of Hope DLC will launch simultaneously across all platforms. While the former will be available for all, the Cost of Hope DLC will be a paid expansion (available with the Ultimate Edition).

The following countdown will expire once the new content goes live. The countdown is based on the following times.

What to expect from STALKER 2 Cost of Hope DLC

Cost of Hope DLC adds a new story that merges into the main campaign. You can choose to enjoy it as part of the main campaign, or you can begin the DLC directly from the menu.

Cost of Hope brings two factions to the core who have been rivals in the past. Now, they’re tied together by the D4 Treaty, but the peace for long, and this sets up a new conflict.

The new campaign also brings fresh regions and locations to explore. The Iron Forest and the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant will be up for exploration, and each will offer a fresh set of challenge. You can also expect to new quests to complete and progress along with the story.

Whether you’re playing the original campaign or the Cost of Hope DLC, all the 2.0 update features will be available from the get go. Having completed the main campaign, I am excited to find out what surprises the Zone now holds for all of us.
