Best Buy’s 60th Anniversary Sale Has Some Great TCG Deals
Best Buy has a massive sale on for its 60th birthday right now, and that includes a tidy selection of trading card game deals that are worth checking out.
But, just to keep things interesting, I've also collected a healthy selection of deals on TCGs like Magic and Pokémon from Amazon right now. Because it's 100% worth shopping around when you're looking for the best TCG deals.
But let's start with what I've found at Best Buy. Highlights include discounts on Ultra Pro TCG accessories, such as the Pikachu-themed deck box and playmat for Pokémon TCG, alongside the Final Fantasy Y'shtola playmat for Magic: The Gathering.
There's also $5 off the Lorcana Gateway set, now down to $19.99, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Doom of Dimensions Booster 4-Pack for $14.99. All of which is sold and shipped directly from Best Buy's own warehouses. If you don't mind shopping via third party sellers, then there's also a Destined Rivals ETB for $144 and a 151 Booster Pack for, what is still an eye watering, $44.77.
Best Buy 60th Anniversary Sale - Pokémon TCG Drop
Best Buy will also have an in-store drop for Pokémon TCG on August 22, and will also have $100 gift cards available for just $60.
Featuring First Partner Illustration Collection Boxes and Pitch Black sealed products. Ascended Heroes, Destined Rivals, and Prismatic Evolutions may also be available.
All these are worth considering, but I'd also highly recommend you check out the deals at TCGplayer right now as well, as more often than not you can find an even better price on the most hotly sought after TCG gear for Pokémon, Magic, and everything else.
For example, that Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is going for just over $120 right now on TCGplayer, instead of the $143.99 asking price from that third party seller on Best Buy. While you're still looking at "resale" prices on TCGplayer, it's typically still an "unopened" and sealed product you're buying.
I'd recommend checking out the listings for $124.32 from "NoPaperCuts", "Buddy's Collectibles", or "PikaForLife" - all of which included delivery, for an unopened Destined Rivals ETB.

If you still prefer buying directly from a retailer, then I fully understand. Resale markets aren't for everything. Let's take a look at the best offers you can find for TCGs at Amazon right now instead.
Kicking things off with Pokémon TCG again, you've probably already seen me rattling on about how easy it is to pick up the TCG's latest Mega Evolution expansion, Pitch Black, for less than market rates. Pitch Black Elite Trainer Boxes are currently down to $69.95, sold and shipped directly from Amazon, and with fast Prime membership delivery as well.
Otherwise, there's plenty of Magic the Gathering deals to check out at Amazon right now as well. That includes the upcoming, and highly anticipated, Star Trek set, for $199.99. That's a small 5% discount on your preorder, dropping from the standard MSRP of $209.70 for Universe's Beyond sets.
Yet, it's still a discount, and you would have locked in your preorder price guarantee as well, where Amazon will match your preorder to the lowest price available between now and release day (November 3, 2026).
There's also a slew of discount on Marvel's Super Heroes right now, one of the more recent Universes Beyond sets. That's topped by the recent release of the Marvel Bundle, now down to $59.86, alongside the Commander Deck Bundle for just $184.95, packing all four decks together (and working out at just $46.23 per deck vs. the $74.99 MSRP for each).
And, to finish things off, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Draft Night bundle is currently down to its lowest price ever - falling to just under $73 at the time of writing. That's an awesome deal, and almost 40% off its original MSRP of $119.99. But why is this such a good deal? That's easy, includes 12 Play Boosters, 90 Lands, and a single, but rare, Collector Booster.
Draft Night is essentially a "self-contained kit for hosting a Pick-Two Draft for four players" - perfect for getting started with you and a group of friends, or even some friends you're trying to introduce to MTG for the first time.
