Other 7.1 Genshin Impact Character Is Vodyanitsa

HoYoVerse continued its 7.1 Genshin Impact drip marketing on social media and revealed Vodyanitsa will be a playable character after the next patch. She’ll show up on an upcoming banner alongside Vesna, who the company revealed on August 17, 2026. Both are individuals who have shown up in-story now that we’ve reached the Snezhnaya region.

We already know Vodyanitsa is a singer who is part of the Korolevskiy Troupe in Snezhnaya. She deals Hydro damage when she attacks, and there are references to water in her official descriptions due to her being one of the remaining Water Imps in the region. For example, her Constellation is called Piscicula Aurea and her title is “Lingering Siren-Song.” All Water Imps are known for their singing skills, and her official story noted that the Korolevskiy Theater sells out because of her performances.

Vodyanitsa will be a bit different from Vesna and is more like a traditional Genshin Impact unit. While the character revealed today uses a Vision, the one HoYoVerse teased before uses the new Stellar Linchpin instead.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the 7.1 update is expected to appear later in September 2026.
