Mortal Shell 2 has four different Seals for you to unlock, and you can equip them to improve your builds. All four Seals have their unique in-game characteristics that determine how they work.
In this guide, I will help you to figure out which Seals are the strongest ones to use and which ones are best avoided at all costs.

Complete Seals tier list in Mortal Shell 2
To separate all the available Seals, I have used four different tiers.
- S-tier is the best possible choice in terms of their power and abilities.
- A-tier choices are viable alternatives to S-tier if you’re yet to unlock them.
- B-tier choices are useful in specific builds, but they’re slightly weak in the meta.

S-tier
- Untarnished Seal: The Untarnished Seal comes with Perfect Guard that allows you to defend an incoming attack and deal Break Damage. There’s an element of timing, but you can master that in quick time. The Untarnished Seal is the perfect fit with any class that relies on melee attacks.
A-tier
- Infinite Seal: In terms of its in-game functions, it works pretty similar to the Untarnished Seal. However, I find it harder to use as the parry window is smaller. If you successfully manage to parry an attack, the Break Damage is greater than that of the Untarnished Seal. It’s a high-risk, high-reward approach, but I prefer Untarnished Seal compared to the Infinite Seal.
- Slayer Seal: If you care about achievements, this Seal will be Z-tier (that’s the last alphabet). If you aren’t concerned about achievements, using the Slayer Seal is a no-brainer. With this seal, you essentially activate the Easy Mode. Playing the Easy Mode makes it easier for you to survive the challenges, since you can periodically restore your health and energy by completing certain in-game actions.
B-tier
- Vatra’s Seal: With this seal, you can nullify an attack completely. While it’s easy to use, it nullifies just one attack at a time. In most fights, you won’t have the luxury to tank only one attack, since there will be multiple enemies. I wish the cooldown between the moves would be lower, which would have made the Vatra’s seal far more viable.
While that concludes our Seals tier list, you also need to pay attention to the Shells that you’re using. Your default playstyle preferences will determine how well a build works for you. Similarly, using the best seal without the correct weapon will make your build suboptimal.
