Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising offers you the chance to build some interesting teams with all the available classes. While there are six different classes, teams comprise a maximum of three members.

Best team in Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising
In Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising, you can use a maximum of three different teams. Each team has three different members. For large parts, you’ll be limited to a single team, but it will expand as you clear more chapters.
This by far is the best combination of characters to use.
- Cleric: Having a healer in any team is a must. The Cleric isn’t only a healer, but the class also offers a fair bit of crowd-control and damage. The class has a fair bit of health, so it’s not a glass cannon by any means. Out of all available permutations and combinations I have tested, the Cleric fits perfectly with every other class. Building the Cleric isn’t too difficult either, since you simply have to focus on enhancing the heals.
- Warrior: Having a melee damage dealer in the current meta is a must. The Mercenary is a pretty strong class, but the Warrior feels better. The Warrior is beginner-friendly, as it can absorb a lot of damage without getting killed. The class also has a unique ability that allows you to summon additional minions. These minions do decent damage, and they can also take a fair number of hits before being killed. If you want a more damage-focused team, go with Mercenary. However, the Warrior is a better option for its all-rounded kits.
- Mage: The Cleric+Melee+Ranged seems like a pretty strong team to run. For ranged, you can either opt for the Mage or the Hunter. I like the Mage more due to its AoE abilities. Unless it’s a boss, you’ll always find of clusters of enemies to take down. The Mage also has plenty of elemental specializations if you want to follow that route.
