How to solve task does not count bug in Low-Budget Repairs?

For large parts, Low-Budget Repairs runs without any major issues as you restore different areas of the house. However, there are rare occasions when you might not be able to proceed onto the next stage due to bugs where the game fails to count a task after you complete it.

Thankfully, there are some easy solutions to prevent such issues from happening.

How to solve a task not counting in Low-Budget Repairs

If you complete a task, and it doesn’t count, you can detect it from the objective bar on the top of your screen. If that happens, save the game (after you have completed the task).

Next, reload the save, and you should be able to continue as usual. This method resolves most situations when a task doesn’t complete when you finish it. Once the save reloads and the previous task counts, you can move on to the next objective.

How to fix buttons not working in the Prison in Low-Budget Repairs

This is a rare bug that can be extremely irritating when it happens. This only happens at the Prison, and the only workaround is to just force close the game. Since the buttons stop working, I haven’t managed to close the game in the intended fashion.

Hence, the only alternative is to restart the game and reload the save.

This happened to me once, and I have since confirmed that there are other players in the same boat. When this bug happens, you’ll mysteriously fall down the map (which isn’t possible normally, since this isn’t an intended function).

If this happens, look for something to jump on to. You can use that to climb to the surface, which automatically fixed the bug for me. As an alternative, you can always reload your save. Unfortunately, this might lead to some loss in your in-game progression, but you’ll be able to play normally as intended.
