Logistics and transportation are two key concepts to master in SANDUSTRY if you want to progress quickly in the game. In simple words, the two concepts determine how efficiently a resource moves from its production site to its ultimate destination.

In this guide, I will explain the finer concepts for your understanding.

How do Launchers and Conveyors work in SANDUSTRY

You’ll be depending heavily on Launchers and Conveyor Belts for most of the transfers. You’ll need them to transport all forms of solid resources like Seeds, Sand, and more. Conveyor Belts are pretty easy to use; just place them horizontally and fix the direction with your mouse.

The highest point of the belt becomes the point where the resources are thrown out. Then, the items move towards the designated directions. Both the Conveyor Belts and Launchers have upgrades available from the research tree.

How to use Filters in SANDUSTRY

Most solid resources inside the game will have mixed particles, and that’s where the Filters come in. When you Allow any item through the Filter, that specific type will pass through to reach the ultimate destination.

With Block, you can stop a specific material from passing through when they’re mixed in a resource. While the initial Filter is limited, you can have more options with upgrades and advancements. Advanced Filters can block any solid, liquid, or gas as required.

How to transport Liquids in SANDUSTRY

While we know everything about how to transport solids, you’ll need to follow something different from the typical pattern.

  • The pump acts as the input device.
  • The Liquid Vent acts as the output device.
  • Connect the two with Pipes.

When you’re transporting a liquid material, makes sure that the fluid is at the same level as the Pump or above, and it hasn’t reached the Vent’s level.

That’s pretty much all you need to remember when it comes to transporting resources of all kinds.
