Video game remake culture is quite fascinating, in that no game, no matter how old or seemingly new, appears to be off limits. One genre that perhaps benefits the most from giving a game a fresh coat of paint than JRPGs, as they have the potential to age into something less appealing rather quickly considering how much the genre has evolved over the years.
