Netflix Kills Oxenfree Studio Right After New Release

Since the early 2020s, Netflix has been making an attempt at breaking into the gaming scene on top of its film and TV offerings. Results have been… mixed, with most of the platform’s offerings being ports, mobile games, and ports of mobile games, though there have been some proper success stories, like the release of Squid Game: Unleashed. There has been some genuine effort behind the initiative as well, with Netflix outright acquiring various game development studios to make exclusive content.
