Twitch appoints ExtraEmily as brand ambassador despite multiple bans for driving incidents
Twitch has named ExtraEmily as one of its newest Ambassadors, a decision that has drawn criticism from other streamers, highlighting her previous suspensions for driving while broadcasting.
The platform revealed its latest group of representatives on August 11, writing: “Meet MORE of the Ambassador Crew.”
According to Twitch, its Ambassadors are established creators who represent the platform through collaboration, positive change, and brand advocacy. The company has previously described those selected as role models who have made a positive impact on the community.
ExtraEmily’s appointment drew criticism from users and other streamers, many of which highlighted her previous suspensions from the platform.

ExtraEmily’s Twitch Ambassador role sparks backlash
“You’re telling me the girl who is notorious live streaming and distracted driving is a new Ambassador?” streamer and comedian Stephanie Cavinder asked. “Wasn’t she JUST banned not long ago for almost causing an accident? And not long before that for blowing through a red light reading chat and laughing?”
“Nice we have an ambassador who frequently breaks TOS and endangers others lives to stream and drive what a great choice!” streamer imguby wrote.

"Lmao wow, make someone a Twitch ambassador who literally almost crashed her car because she was livestreaming and driving at the same time," another creator, Nerdy_Senpai, commented.
The backlash comes around six weeks after ExtraEmily received her third driving-related Twitch suspension.
During a June 28 IRL stream, she appeared to look at her phone while making a turn and narrowly avoided colliding with an approaching SUV. No crash occurred, but Twitch suspended her before restoring the channel roughly 24 hours later.
ExtraEmily was first banned for 18 hours in October 2023 after she was seen using her phone while driving. She later told viewers: “I am reformed.”
In April 2025, she received another one-day suspension after running a red light during a broadcast.
Following her latest ban, ExtraEmily hired a driver for her IRL streams so she could continue interacting with viewers while traveling.
In 2024, she crashed her bike into a cop car in New York City, and a year later, while streaming with Mizkif, she aimed his own gun at him, prompting concerns over a lack of firearm safety.
Her appointment has renewed criticism of Twitch’s enforcement after Asmongold, Jesse Cox, and other creators previously called for driving streams to be banned entirely.
